Ep. 134: Hockey Hunks, Unfortunate Injuries & Founder of Pride Tape

Hey everyone! Episode 134 released this past Tuesday and is ready for your hears! You can listen here.

What do we go over in this episode? Glad you asked!

We’re joined by Pride Tape’s Co-Founder, Jeff McLean! Jeff chats with us about the latest with Pride Tape, upcoming Pride nights across the NHL and a brand new childrens book he wrote called Who’s Hockey! Who’s Hockey is written about a hockey super fan names Cam who moves to a new place but doesn’t have any friends to play hockey with. So she gathers a group of teamates from all different backgrounds to teach and play the game with. The moral of the story is hockey is for everyone, and when you find teammates, you find friends.

You can find the book about anywhere, however here is the direct Amazon link: Who’s Hockey

The NHL All Stars are right around the corner and the fan votes are open! Have you voted yet? We discuss our unpopular opinion on the selection of players, who we think should of made it and who we are voting for.

This week Breezy also brought HUNKS OF HOCKEY back! We started a new segment on the pod called Hunk Of The Week and are taking fan submissions as to who you think the top hockey hunk of the week is. The best part about it is that it could be for absolutely no reason! We had a submission for Connor McDavid because of his nasty socks. Pretty funny! Submit your votes by sending us a DM on instagram or send it directly to Rae!

We decided to pick FOUR hunks of the week including: Jake Middleton of the Minnesota Wild, Brent Burns & Head Coach Rod Brind’Amour of the Carolina Hurricanes, and Patrik Laine of the Columbus Blue Jackets - you’ll have to listen as to why these guys were chosen for hunk of the week!

We also went over some unfortunate hockey injuries including John Carlson of the Washington Capitals having to get his ear re-attached and Blake Wheeler of the Winnipeg Jets rupturing a testicle.

Also a huge should out to Nela Lopusanova who did the Michigan duing the Under 18 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championship. SHE ROCKED IT! Check out the clip here.

Don’t forget to tune into this week’s episode here and follow along on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for episode highlights.
